As standard, there is a mandatory 180 day wait process for all pets entering Australia. This means you should get in touch with us within 7-12 months prior to your relocation date. This will give us enough time to start the delicate process of the regulatory framework including vetwork requirements, certificates, permits, quarantine bookings and any onward flight bookings from Melbourne to your new home.
What are the Differences for Category 2?
Depending on what country you are coming from will depend on the process and entry requirements into Australia. As such, all Category 2 pets require their ID verification process to commence at least 180 days prior to entry to be eligible for the minimum 10 days in Quarantine. Jetpets Can Transport Your Pets From Quarantine to Your New Home
Every dog and cat that enters Australia from countries other than Category 1 pets require a 10 or 30 day stay at The Australian Quarantine Facility in Mickelham, Victoria. This means that regardless of where you are moving to in Australia, your pets must fly into Melbourne, Victoria first to quarantine. Once your pets have successfully completed their quarantine stay, our Pet Handlers will collect your pets and deliver them to your new home in Victoria. If your pets require onward travel, our Pet Handlers will check them into their domestic flight, collect them from their destination airport and deliver them to your door step.
